Awesome surf shop! AB's 1st ever Surf Shop! & One of the best 2 at Atlantic Beach, NC. They have all the popular brands from Patagonia to Fish Hippie! Also if you're looking for a hat, this is the place they have more hats than any other store I've ever been to. Great selection.
Visited during annual winter sale. Great deals, good clothes. Definitely going back.
Have been visiting AB surf for the past 20+ years and have always enjoyed our visit. We were always able to find good products and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Not the case this time. Absolutely no help from the staff, they were all just standing behind the counter talking to each other. When my dad, 79 year old surfer from California, asked about the swells he got blown off. Like it was too much trouble to talk to this old dude. Too bad for them, they missed out talking with someone who surfed with some of the great old dudes.Dewey Weber,Corky Carrol and the rest. Your loss. This place has become all about making a buck and selling stuff to tourists rather than a real surf shop. .
So out of the surf shops in the Atlantic Beach area. "AB" surf shop is the trendiest and more high end place of the bunch. It doesn't mean that it's better than the others, it's just a matter of the type of stuff they carry.
The staff is always friendly and attentive. They seem to be always active working on something which is good. A staff that is just sitting around doing nothing seems a little weird. They have a large selection of clothes, swimsuits, shirts, pants, sunglasses, surf boards, flip flops... So much to list.
