Fort Macon is a great place to visit! a lot of history, the staff is very knowledgeable and the buildings and grounds are very well kept! Very nice place to visit!
Great job of restoration. Museum is a good place to cool off after a visit to the fort.
Great place to go learn about how the fort was used from the Civil War all the way up to WWII. Shows what the living conditions were like, the weapons that were used, and how they enforced law at the Fort. Great for kids and families, they even have a live shooting of the cannons every Wednesday at 4pm!
Free, beautiful, and entertaining. Family, handicapped friendly. History buffs will like it, and especially young kids.
