Old but clean and right on the beach. Some rooms are suites with full kitchens facing the ocean and all for a great price. This is not The Four Seasons but set your expectations correctly and you will thoroughly enjoy your stay.
We've been coming here since 1983 or 84? Love it. It's our second home. Can't beat the prices and the staff is awesome.
My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in unit C12. The view was fantastic... Except for the flag pole straight out from our balcony. Direct access to the beach with washing space to get the sand off. They also have about 8 charcoal grills, picnic benches, swings, comfy outdoor chairs, and cleaning station for your ocean catches. They accommodated our late arrival. If was very affordable and the weather was beautiful the week before Memorial day. There is a wonderful aquarium just around the corner. Vicky recommend for families or lovers of sea creatures... Especially turtles. The unit was well stocked with kitchen utensils and clean. My only complaint is that the beds and pillows provided were about as soft as a rock. A slab of granite would only be one step down. But seriously, very friendly, would still recommend :)
Been here five years in a row. Love it. Great off season rates and rooms. Just feet from the ocean instead of a mile long hike.
Older hotel, but very reasonably priced. Our room's kitchen and living room had been remodeled recently, so the room felt much newer than the bathrooms or hotel exterior. The staff were nice and helpful. It is no Ritz Carlton by any means, but for a 2 bedroom, first floor beach front room, you really can't beat the price. We just stayed for a couple nights and I'd probably spring for something a little nicer for a whole week, but some may find it perfectly hospitable for a full week. For us, I'd be happy to come back for another weekend. Other thoughts: Parking is a little tight but free. The whaler has a very nice grass lawn between it and the beach that is great for relaxing in the evenings.
